Game Review: The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II

When I first saw this series I was immediately skeptical…yet another Diablo clone. The game went on sale on Steam and I thought, well, why not, and I was very pleasantly surprised. While there was certainly the running around huge groups of enemies, clicking like mad, there was a lot more to the game.

The story and character interactions were great, the setting not one I’ve much experience with, and the overall gameplay and customization I found just substantial enough without becoming overbearing. There were plenty of side-quests and optional things to do, and a surprising amount of game-related humor. I’d definitely recommend you check out the Van Helsing series!

  • You are right, I like Van Helsing II too. The combo of different action RPG Elements are done very well… good review

  • I'd heard this game (the 2nd) had a lot of bugs when it was released, especially in co-op and multiplayer. Some people saying those modes are still unplayable after supposed fixes?
